The September Issue

I don't know when my next day off will be. Going on the third month in a row, I am scrapping up every dime I have to pay rent, insurance, and the cell bill. However, change is around the corner.

Brian is working a double today, training at Buffalo Wild Wings in Burbank and then bartending at La Petit in WeHo, and I'll be hanging out at the Hilton in Beverly Hills taking business cards and regulating conservatives that want their picture with Condi Rice. Farmacy tomorrow, La Petit this weekend, and catering the Governor's Ball for the Emmy's this Sunday- HELL.

On the bright side, I have Vogue, coffee, and Go Country 105.1.

95° In My Loft

In the past month, both Brian and myself have gotten jobs. He's gotten his first SAG voucher and done two days of work on Mad Men. I've talked myself into thinking I want two jobs and now I have to be in two places at once.

However, everything has just generally improved. Money is no where to be found, but that's sort of the state things, right?

Los Angeles burns, I'm happy with my man. Now, just to act.

Still On After All These Years...

I figured that since I expect to be able to know what my friends are up to thanks to the wonders of the internet, maybe they'd like the same respect.

While our means of communication might be detached and strange, they still work. I'm now checking Twitter, which I'm not onboard yet, and blogs to know what my loved ones are doing. And some even in the same city! However, without these tools- texts specifically, we'd be lost. Now that I'm in L.A., I don't have to reach out to the people I did when I was in Iowa City. I can walk to their houses, again.

But Kiki, Brigid, I have lived with these women and I now have no clue when their walking fast somewhere or making the most perfect quip. Jeez.

And I wasn't such a vigilant 'Booker, Drew might not have let me sleep on his couch.
